Duane Stanford is Editor & Publisher of Beverage Digest, a U.S.-based business newsletter covering the non-alcoholic drinks industry.
Duane has written about the global food and beverage industry since 2006. Before taking over Beverage Digest in 2015 and later acquiring the business, he spent 23 years at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Bloomberg writing everything from breaking news to investigations and magazine features. While at Bloomberg’s Atlanta bureau, Duane was a regular contributor to Businessweek magazine and to Bloomberg television and radio.
At Beverage Digest, Duane regularly appears on radio and television, and in print as an expert commentator on global beverage trends and developments.
Duane serves on the board of the Atlanta Press Club, the second largest press club in the U.S. after Washington D.C., and is a former Chairman.
Duane graduated from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, where he met his wife, Laura, who directs operations at Beverage Digest. They have two adult children, one of whom works for Beverage Digest as an insights analyst.
Duane plays competitive tennis in Atlanta, enjoys motorcycles, and holds a pilot’s license.
