Burger King has named former PepsiCo marketing executive Pat O’Toole as CMO of the fast-food chain’s US and Canada unit.

Coca-Cola Beverages Florida Founder, Chairman and CEO Troy Taylor has been named to the board of directors of Cox Enterprises, the Atlanta-based owner of communications, automotive, and media businesses.

Coca-Cola North America Policy Center Group Director Gary McElyea has been named director of health & nutrition advocacy for Europe. He previously served as Coke’s director of US state and local policy. 

Two renowned Coca-Cola system executives have passed away. They are former Coca-Cola Enterprises President and CEO John R. Alm, and former Coca-Cola Global CMO Peter Sealey.

Whole Earth Brands, maker of Equal, Pure Via stevia, and Canderel tabletop sweeteners, announced that CEO and Board Director Albert Manzone has stepped down to pursue other opportunities. Board Director Michael Franklin takes over as interim CEO.
