Late next month, the American Beverage Association will host member executives from across the US non-alcoholic beverage industry for an advocacy summit and celebration to mark the organization’s 100th anniversary. The three-day event from Oct. 28-30 will include legislative updates, meetings on Capitol Hill, industry panel discussions, a transportation forum and an evening event celebrating ABA’s centennial. Industry Panel. During the summit, ABA President and CEO Katherine Lugar will moderate a rare panel discussion with top executives from the three largest US beverage companies. Coca-Cola North America President Jim Dinkins, PepsiCo Beverages North America CEO Kirk Tanner and Keurig Dr Pepper Chief Commercial Officer Derek Hopkins will explore how sustainability, societal challenges, the US workforce and other issues will shape their businesses and the industry. Discussion on Plastics. A second panel discussion on plastics and sustainability will feature Coke VP of Social Commitment Caren Pasquale Seckler, PepsiCo SVP of North America Government Affairs and Public Policy Paul Boykas, and KDP Chief Sustainability Officer Monique Oxender.
