The US Federal Trade Commission has dismissed a Robinson-Patman Act pricing lawsuit filed against PepsiCo in January (May 23, 2025 Email News Alert). In a statement Thursday, the commission's chairman called the case "nakedly political."
The dismissal was not a surprise given comments in January by commissioners who voted against proceeding and later took control of the FTC as part of the Trump administration.
