Swire Coca-Cola has agreed to buy bottling franchises in Vietnam and Cambodia from Coca-Cola, the company announced. The deal marks Swire Coca-Cola’s first investments in Southeast Asia, the company said. The Vietnam franchise includes three manufacturing plants while the Cambodia business includes one. Swire is Coke’s fifth largest bottler by volume with operations in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and 13 US states that cover 760 million people (more than twice the US population).
Plant-based protein shake maker Owyn, backed in part by Zico coconut water founder Mark Rampolla, has announced new funding at an undisclosed amount from Purchase Capital and Hammock Park Capital. The money will be used for national distribution and retail expansion, eCommerce platform growth, and expanded advertising and marketing, the company said.
Flow Beverage has signed on with direct-to-consumer online retailer Ohi to provide 2-hour, same-day, and next-day delivery in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Chicago.
